Job Opportunity: On-Call Coordinator

Objective

As an On-Call Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality of service for our clients by managing various on-call duties. You will collaborate closely with Service Coordinators and provide support during weekend shifts.

Compensation

Weekday Evenings: $80.00
Full Days of On-Call: $120.00

Primary Responsibilities

  • Uphold and reflect the core values of HI Southern Alaska, Inc., d.b.a. Home Instead.
  • Prior to your shift, review the schedule with the designated Service Coordinator to identify potential issues.
  • Ensure you have all necessary resources (laptop, tablet, phone, and paperwork) for on-call duties.
  • Answer incoming calls in a friendly, professional, and knowledgeable manner, responding swiftly to client needs.
  • Fill all client shifts according to office scheduling processes and communicate any changes to clients and Care Professional s.
  • Contact backup personnel for input on client or Care Professional questions.
  • Temporarily fill in on assignments until a replacement Care Professional is found.
  • Report client and Care Professional concerns or problems to the owner or designated key player.
  • Monitor and log client and Care Professional activities, following up as necessary in the operating system.
  • Field new client and Care Professional inquiries over the phone and schedule care consultations.
  • Log all activities during your shift and communicate them to designated key players.
  • Return all resources to the office following your shift.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with the owner, colleagues, and Care Professional s.
  • Ensure that Home Instead standards are consistently met and upheld.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Participate in quarterly Care Professional meetings.
  • Conduct care consultations as required.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary.

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of related business experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid driver’s license.

  • Strong understanding of and adherence to Home Instead policies and procedures.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with effective listening abilities.
  • Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and meet deadlines.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and good decision-making abilities.
  • Discretion, integrity, and fair-mindedness consistent with company standards.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain good working relationships with management, colleagues, franchise owners, and their staff.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Proficiency in operating office equipment and HISC technology.
  • Patience and congeniality on the telephone.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Availability to work evenings or weekends as required.
  • Capability to perform duties in a professional office setting.
