Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) employees work to protect and improve the health, safety and economic well being of California wage earners.
DIR is looking for a dynamic, highly motivated individual to join the Office of the Director. Under direction of the Chief of the Office of Strategic Enforcement, the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) is responsible for providing support to various functions of the Office of the Director, with a focus on analytical projects. The analyst organizes operational logistics for the Labor Enforcement Task Force (LETF), a multi agency task force that works to combat the underground economy. The analyst also independently performs assignments related to recruitment and hiring.
Will consider Staff Services Analyst (General).
This position is permanent, full-time.

Our office is located in downtown Oakland, about two blocks from the Oakland City Center/12th Street BART station. Within walking distance are delis, burrito and sandwich shops, Japanese, Vietnamese, Thai and Italian restaurants, barbecue, cheese steaks, pizza, coffee shops and fast-food restaurants.
The incumbent works 40 hours per week.
This position is eligible for remote-centered hybrid telework up to three days per week; the other two days per week are in the Oakland office.
The office location is in a high rise building that is air conditioned. The cubicles have natural and artificial lighting. The incumbent is regularly required to remain in a stationary position, communicate and to work at a computer for extended periods of time and to move and transport office items in a safe manner.
The incumbent will be required to travel occasionally.
Candidates who reside outside of the State of California may be admitted to the job interview, but they must show proof of residence in California prior to being eligible for appointment.
