The College of Southern Idaho serves high schools across the state by providing dual credit coursework to students currently enrolled in the K-12 system.As such, many of our faculty positions are designed to provide support to this mission.These positions carry a minimal college teaching load (possibly, but not entirely, maintained through online coursework for ease of travel and time flexibility) while providing support and mentorship to dual credit faculty throughout the state.
Summary of Position:
A STEM instructor in the Department of Engineering, Physical and Computer Sciences must be prepared to teach a full range of lower-division STEM courses. Applicants will be considered from a variety of STEM fields including computer science, physics, chemistry, engineering, and geology. Discipline expertise is flexible with a willingness to mentor dual credit instructors in a variety of disciplines. In addition to teaching courses, a CSI STEM instructor will supervise dual credit faculty throughout the state of Idaho by providing them assistance with CSI administrative processes, outcomes assessment processes, curriculum development and pedagogy support, and professional development in the areas of collegiate level physical science instruction.
Salary:$44,000 (9-month contract, grant funded position)

Location:Teaching online through theTwin Falls campus with regular travel to local high school dual credit locations.
