We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Audit Staff member to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of tax preparation to provide exceptional client service, demonstrates excellent communication and organizational skills, strong attention to detail, is eager to learn, and has the ability and flexibility to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

About the Job

• Advanced organization and time management skills – ability to set priorities and meet deadlines with thorough communication to the team and clients
• Client interfacing through platforms such as video meetings, phone calls, and emails
• Preparation and maintenance of financial reports
• Examination of profit and loss
• Deriving conclusions based on reports and making necessary recommendations
• Evaluation and analysis of financial data
• Verification of general ledger entries
• Conducting financial audits and operational analysis to determine efficiency and compliance to regulations
• Evaluate existing business processes and controls, and recommend improvements.
• Coordinating with different departments to gather data
• Meeting with employees and managers to collect information, analyze data, identify problems and weaknesses, and help managers develop strategies to minimize or eliminate errors.
• Performs other related duties and project work as assigned

Skills & Abilities for this Role

• Experience and comfort utilizing cloud-based accounting software and tools like CCH Axcess, Pfx Engagement, QuickBooks, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, and Word) and aptitude to learn additional programs
• Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field preferred
• Application of generally accepted accounting principles.
• Basic understanding of auditing principles and standards.
• Excellent client service skills, including patience and flexibility
• Great organizational skills, including time management and strategic thinking
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Keen attention to detail
• Willingness to work as part of team to balance and share workloads and assignments
• Willingness to work extended hours and weekends during peak seasons
