ResponsibilitiesJob Description
- Provide support for Citywide and OCF specific program database(s).
- Work closely with the OCF Data Systems Lead and OCF program and data analytics teams to ensure the data collected and information produced through reports align with OCF goals.
- Support efforts to ensure data integrity, reliability and data quality by working closely with data system users to address any issues, including external data uploaded to Cityspan and/or other databases.
- Support the development of reports and summaries for various target audiences as needed.
- Coordinate meetings with data personnel at various provider networks to ensure their evolving data needs are met.
- Assist with the development of documentation of all procedures and processes.
- Support the development of new workflows and/or procedures as they arise to meet OCF program and data needs.
- Serve as co-liaison (with the OCF Data Systems Lead) with the database vendor), including all project management tasks-planning/scheduling, prioritizing etc.
- Develop and provide appropriate staff trainings and other resource development (tutorials etc.) as identified or needed.
- Other relevant duties as assigned.
- Working knowledge of relational database
- Strong PC skills, including proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, database functions and database reporting skills and other related technologies including Business Intelligence and Geospatial tools.
- Experience with SQL for querying and extracting data
- Ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines
- Strong problem solving and decision making skills
- Ability to analyze data and/or problems and efficiently find solutions
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proactive & customer-minded
- Experience in working with and analyzing large data sets
- Developing project management skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related Degree or equivalent education and / or experience
- Familiarity with the principles of relational database design, management, and optimization
- Strong quantitative skills and with a knowledge of business intelligence and reporting tools
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communications skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with peers toward evolving project goals
- Familiarity with social service or youth-serving organizations and programs helpful
