Commonwealth Engineers, Inc. is seeking a motivated, energetic, and innovative Information Technology Assistant to join our award-winning engineering design and consulting firm. The candidate must be a self-starter willing to grow with our company. Applicant must be adaptable, and willing to work in a performance and deadline-­driven environment and in a team setting. Training will be made available for specific duties.

Responsibilities

• Administer workstations, printers, peripherals, phones, software deployment, servers, security updates and patches.
• Maintain records of accounts, software licensing, and company devices.
• Provide assistance in the use of company hardware, software, and specialized technology.
• Manage, backup, remove, and archive company data.
• Maintain IT inventory and workstations.
• Consult with users, management, third-party vendors, and technicians to assess computing needs and system requirements.
• Create/record standard operating procedures for the IT department and users within the organization.
• Evaluate the organization’s technology and user needs to recommend improvements.
• Research and test various hardware and software before implementation.
• Assist in the discovery, research, and resolution of technical issues.
• Troubleshoot PC, website, and other company software issues.
• Oversee time-lapse video projects at construction sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-year degree in Information Technology
• Proficiency with Windows
• Proficiency with Cisco Products and Vmware
• Ability to multitask and carry out projects with tight deadlines
• Excellent communication skills with staff at all levels
• Strong work ethic and organizational skills
• Willingness to learn new skills
