Small Engine Technician – Arcadia, Florida

EarthBalance is a company of employees who have a passion for restoring the natural environment. We use a large variety of small engine tools and equipment that need constant maintenance and repair.

Duties:At EarthBalance, our small engine techs diagnose, repair, and overhaul small engines used to power pole saws, chainsaws, recreational vehicles, and other related equipment.

• Ability to work extended hours.
• Minimum 6 months of experience and/or training in small engine repair; or a combination of education and experience.
• Experience with general maintenance of off-road vehicles like UTVs and ATVs.
• Experience in automotive and diesel service is a plus.
• Must have a valid driver's license, a minimum of 3 years of driving experience, and a clean driving record.
• Acetylene and electric arc welding experience is a plus.
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus.

• This position is performed in outside weather conditions, where the employee is exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration.
• The employee will be frequently exposed to a variety of extreme weather and environmental conditions at project sites.

  • Coordinate two or more limbs (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while sitting, standing, or lying down.
  • The employee must regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds, and frequently lift or move up to 75 pounds.
