Position Summary & Responsibilities:
Position Summary:
The Creative Assistant is a critical role on the Marketing and Communications team. This is a fast-paced position that not only is responsible for helping develop creative assets but ensuring dissemination platforms for all content are updated and optimized .
Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
Visual content creation
Assists Creative Director and Marketing/Communications team to develop effective, cohesive, and professional materials. Captures video and still images of companies, individuals and/or areas to accompany written content that is disseminated on multiple platforms (print, web, social media, email, etc.). Develops brochures, handouts, videos, advertising, publications, graphics, PowerPoint presentations, newsletters, annual reports, and other public-facing content for the Marketing/Communications team and other Department of Commerce divisions
Website Development
Builds and maintains the agency website. This includes the creation of functional webpages, monitoring of online traffic and optimizing user experience and behavior. Ensures functionality and efficiency of sites and updates website as needed
Applications and Forms
Creates online applications and forms from paper-based to web-based. Ensures proper integration of forms with kansascommerce.gov and salesforce.com. Works with agency divisions to update applications and forms as program requirements and processes evolve
