General Summary:
Summary:
The main functions of this role are to establish and execute strategic and operational initiatives across the enterprise at Bayhealth. The incumbent will be responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating a range of behavioral health care offerings and opportunities both within Bayhealth and in collaboration with external stakeholders. The work of this role will span from intermittent outpatient services through and including crisis care. The incumbent will be able to work within multiple disciplines to coordinate care of the behavioral health population.
This role is highly visible throughout the organization and represents Bayhealth with external partners as well as with state and government officials.
Responsibilities:
1. Create and execute behavioral health strategic roadmap for Bayhealth consistent with our values and in alignment with the organizational strategic plan. 2. Work with clinical care and planning teams to assess and identify programs that elevate the level of behavioral health care provided to Bayhealth patients. 3. Collaborate, consult, and provide direction to the multidisciplinary care team surrounding behavioral health diagnoses, issues or concerns. 4. Guide and direct the care team in development of patient or population specific behavior care plans 5. Support care management efforts in coordination of care for behavioral health patients both individually and programmatically 6. Coordinate telepsychiatry services, act as system administrator and contract manager. 7. Represent Bayhealth on local, state and federal behavioral health policy matters and with external entities that impact the provision of behavioral health care to Bayhealth. 8. Guide and direct performance improvement activities as indicated 9. Assess and direct behavioral health education and/or training to clinical care staff. 10. Establish measurable goals for patient level care provision and program level services. 11. Proposes, manages and monitors capital and operating budget for the department. 12. Leads development, oversight and management of applicable policies and procedures for all services performed, ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies including, but not limited to, Joint Commission, State Department of Health and other appropriate agencies. 13. All other duties as assigned, within the scope and range of job responsibilities.
Required Education, Credential(s) and Experience:
Required: Three (3) years managerial experience. Three (3) years of clinical experience.
Preferred: Clinical experience working in behavioral health environment. Experience in Performance Improvement, experience in budgeting and teamwork. Polysomnography experience.
