PERMIANLIDE is Hiring a Paint Shop Manager Near Troy, TX

This is a full time position located in Troy, TX. 1-3 years' experience as an Industrial paint shop manager capable of doing everything in the paint industry. Local applicants only please, this is not a per diem paid position.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervision: Oversee all operations within the paint shop, including scheduling, workflow management, and staff supervision.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all painted products meet quality standards and customer specifications, conducting inspections and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Training and Development: Train new employees on painting techniques, safety procedures, and equipment operation. Provide ongoing coaching and development to enhance team skills and productivity.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain adequate inventory levels of paint, supplies, and equipment. Coordinate with procurement to order materials as necessary and manage stock levels efficiently.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Schedule and oversee regular maintenance and repairs for painting equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and procedures to create a safe working environment for all employees. Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to identify and address potential hazards.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate painting processes for efficiency and effectiveness. Implement improvements and best practices to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
  • Documentation: Keep accurate records of production output, quality inspections, inventory levels, and equipment maintenance. Generate reports as needed to track performance and identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a paint shop or similar manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in paint mixing, spraying, and curing techniques. Familiarity with various types of paints, coatings, and surface preparation methods.
  • Leadership Abilities: Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and mentor a diverse team. Proven track record of effectively managing people and processes.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards. Ability to identify and address quality issues promptly and effectively.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to resolving issues and improving processes.
  • Safety Consciousness: Thorough understanding of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment. Demonstrated commitment to promoting a culture of safety among team members.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours as needed to accommodate production schedules and address any emergencies or unplanned events.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Additional vocational training or certifications in painting, coatings, or related fields preferred.
