Customs Entry Writer
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Prepare entry documents for Customs release and Duty payment
•Rate commercial invoice with tariff numbers
•Prepare RLF entries
•Provide necessary document to other government agencies
•Prepare Customs brokerage files
•Verify arrival information with Airlines/Steamship Lines/NVOCC's
•Verify country of origin
•Prepare delivery order, send to trucker, and verify receipt
•Prepare billing package, bill file, and email/mail to clients
•Ensure all entries are filed on time and freight is delivered in a timely manner in accordance with
company and customer expectations
•HTS classification and advisory
•Other duties as needed
Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
•3-5 years" experience
•Demonstrate ability to calculate figures and amounts
•Acute attention to detail
•Strong organizational skills
•Commitment to excellence and high standards
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
•Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities
