Anchor Talent & Consulting is Hiring a Director Of Career Services Near San Antonio, TX

Job Description

Job Description

Anchor Talent is looking for a Career Services Director in South Texas. As the Career Services Director you will manage the Career Services department to support job search, programming and related resources for students. This role will build, implement, and oversee all career and employment programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, including students, faculty, employers, and community partners, to promote career success among students
  • Develop, plan and implement short and long-range goals, and organize work or assigned projects
  • Establish metrics, in collaboration with others, to track student progress
  • Provide leadership in design of a collaborative system for referrals to both internal and external resources and services to support student's educational planning
  • Develop and implement comprehensive career development programs and initiatives
  • Identify and respond to the career-related needs of students, ensuring programs are relevant, inclusive, and aligned with industry trends and labor market demands
  • Conduct ongoing research on career development best practices and emerging trends to inform program enhancements
  • Provide individual and group career counseling to students, assisting them in clarifying career goals, exploring career options, and developing career plans
  • Conduct mock interviews and provide feedback to enhance students' interview performance
  • Guide students in accessing resources such as career assessment tools, online job boards, and internship opportunities
  • Establish and maintain relationships with local employers, industry professionals, and community organizations to expand internship and employment opportunities for students
  • Coordinate and promote career fairs, employer information sessions, and networking events to connect students with potential employers
  • Collaborate with faculty to integrate career development activities and resources into the curriculum, ensuring students receive comprehensive career preparation
  • Collect and analyze data on student outcomes, employment rates, and career service utilization to evaluate the effectiveness of programs and services
  • Prepare reports and presentations on career service metrics and trends for internal and external stakeholders
  • Utilize technology platforms and systems to manage career service databases, student records, and job postings
  • Assist in the supervision and training of career services staff, student workers, or interns, as applicable.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 2 years of experience in management, career development, career planning
  • Ability to build relationships, provide excellent communication and mindfulness
  • Demonstrated strong problem-solving, accuracy, and critical thinking skills
