Department's Website:Summary of Job Duties:As an Employee Relations Consultant, you will serve as a trusted advisor and mediator, promoting positive relationships between employees and the organization. You will be responsible for managing employee concerns, conflicts, and grievances, while ensuring compliance with employment laws and organizational policies. Your expertise in employee relations will contribute to a productive and harmonious work environment, fostering employee engagement and organizational success.
Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, HR, or related field of study and three (3) years HR Employee Relations related experience working directly in Employee Relations
  • One (1) year HR Employee Relations related experience working directly in Employee Relations
  • Must have a very strong understanding of Employee Relations, Title VII, FMLA, ADA and conducting investigations/report writing is required.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
Additional Information:Requirements:
  • Provides advice and guidance to managers on ADA and Employee Relations (ER) including the understanding and application of law and institutional policies, procedures, and current practices. Escalates and involves senior management on critical issues as appropriate.
  • Uses effective coaching techniques to guide managers and HR Business Partners on the proper approach with Employee Relations topics.
  • Conducts Title VII research and investigates related issues as requested by HR leadership or client/business management.
  • Writes investigation reports.
  • Counsels and provides assistance on employee complaints and investigates allegations to include working with department representative and People and Culture Partners.
  • Performs administrative duties to include all critical documentation related to Employee Relations (i.e., case notes, investigations, and all related documentation, etc.) to ensure proper recordkeeping.
  • Manage databases.
  • Preps documents for scanning and performs quality control.
  • Creates reports and verifies data for accuracy.
  • Effectively presents campus trainings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
