This role is onsite and will be based in Houston, TX

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**

Develop and implement current and updated methodologies for fluid dynamics to further improve accuracy and confidence in simulations.

Implement watertight geometry from SolidWorks and/or Rhino.

Implement code in CFD solver for complex models.

Utilize Multiphysics solutions when applicable.

Develop proper testing practices to verify and validate simulation results.

Work with existing hardware teams to ensure tests are beneficial and parallel to the analyses.

Team oriented work to choose ideal tools for verifying results, and making crucial decisions to drive the project in the right direction.

Perform other duties as assigned.

**Education & Experience**

Bachelors Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field

10 years experience in an engineering field utilizing CFD to support various design improvements, or a combined equivalent education and experience

Proven proficiency in 3D Computational Fluid Dynamics

Knowledge in existing CFD software (Ansys Fluent, CFX, STAR CCM , etc..)

Experience in dealing with complex fluid systems (turbomachinery, pumps, low pressure environments, etc.)

Experience in creating/optimizing CFD code to further develop solutions

Experience with interfacing High Performance Computing sources

Preferred experience with other operating systems, programing language (Linux, Bash, Python, etc)

Ability to identify and provide insight to issues within design

Ability to prioritize and multi-task on projects

Ability to thrive in a fast developing environment and produce timely results

Ability to demonstrate strong attention to detail

**Essential Functions**

Work Environment: Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.

**Requirements**

Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.

Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised.

Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.

**Physical Requirements**

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time).
