Space Planner
Contract 40 hours weekly
US Citizen, Must be able to hold a security Clearance
Active Secret Clearance is preferred.
Space Planner Summary: Dynamic individual contributor responsible for executing office and lab space planning for the organization.
Key Qualifications: 1-4 years of experience in a space planner role or design role focused on workplace or lab planning. Experience with Revit required and AutoCAD experience a plus. Experience reviewing design and construction documents. Analytical and data analysis skills Outstanding communication & presentation skills Strong attention to detail Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint a plus Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance Ability to work across organizations to reach solutions. Proactively searches for process improvement.
Duties include: Review end user space requests and create test fit plans for utilization of space consistent with requirements of organizational efficiency and available facilities and funds. Engage with business area and functional leaders to understand office and lab requirements and provide timely solutions.
Ability to lead design from an owners perspective from programming through construction documentation.
Client is currently executing several large projects and space planner will be responsible for ensuring alignment of all projects to Client design standards. Develop and implement space plans that meet organizational and operational needs, to ensure the implementation of an efficient office/lab environment. Manage the interior design, wayfinding and conduct annual space utilization audits. Benchmark current spaces and compare to industry peers. Stay up to date on current workplace research and identify areas of potential improvements/pilot opportunities.
Education: The knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts typically acquired through completion of a bachelors degree in architecture or a closely related field.
