Trainer I (Full Time)

Location: Tallahassee, FL with ability to travel to any location as needed (up to 25% travel required)

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm

Compensation: Competitive annual salary plus generous benefits package (see below for details)

Summary of Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree. Exceptional candidates with a minimum of a high school diploma and credit union experience may be substituted for education
  • 1 years of experience with training or leadership with development responsibility, or 5 years of financial institution experience required
  • APTD credential preferred
  • Can pass a criminal background check, credit check, and drug test
  • Clean, valid driver's license with dependable transportation to be able to travel to multiple locations

About the Position : The Trainer I is responsible for the effective coordination and presentation of training and development programs for all team members. Assesses training initiatives and identifies and arranges improved training solutions for team members. This position actively searches for improvement in training design and implementation, and uses effective methods to facilitate and enhance performance.

  • Can facilitate live and virtual learning environments and have a working knowledge of the principles of adult learning
  • Are detail driven with excellent time management and project management skills
  • Possess excellent communication skills and broad knowledge of best practices in team member engagement and goal achievement
  • Have a working knowledge of Microsoft products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and SharePoint

Essential Tasks of the Trainer I:

  • Facilitates long-term training and skill path plans for each Team Member.
  • Responsible for development of initial and ongoing product and credit training.
  • Implements assigned retail learning solutions, and determine modes of delivery.
  • Keeps programs and related materials current and relevant to the business needs and strategies.
  • Executes training initiatives for all new and existing Team Members.
  • Participates in SME (subject matter experts) project teams in identifying and developing or sourcing content for specific programs/initiatives.
  • Assists in the design and development of training materials and/or job aides.
  • Continuously monitor and seek feedback from retail leadership for curriculum and content development.
  • Assists in building a retail team member continuous training strategy that will impact areas of attention identified in engagement surveys.
  • Assists management with development planning for high potential associates.
  • Anticipates, evaluates, and communicates needs proactively between HR and the business unit, providing improvement feedback and integrated solutions.
  • Maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's function, goals and objectives, industry position and competition.
  • Supports administration of the Learning Management System.
  • Supports administration of the FCCU Knowledge Center and online reference materials.
