Selby Jennings is working with a traditional buy-out private equity shop based in Cleveland, OH that is seeking an associate addition for their investment team. This firm invests in companies across the aerospace & defense, industrials, manufacturing, technology and services sectors that generate $20 - 200 M in revenue and have $3 - 15 M worth of EBITDA.
Responsibilities:
- Review and analysis of investment opportunities
- Industry and private company research
- Drafting and presenting investment memorandums
- Due diligence (both internal analysis as well as management of third parties)
- Financial modeling and analysis
- Assisting in portfolio management activities, including monitoring financial performance of portfolio investments
- Participating in business development activities, including origination, marketing initiatives, and attending conferences
Qualifications:
- 1 - 2 years of investment banking, private equity, consulting, or finance experience
- Bachelor’s degree w/ solid academic background and exposure to finance, accounting and economics
- Possess a strong work ethic and be self-motivated
