The City of Springfield is seeking the next Telecomm Coordinator! Do you have a passion for connecting others? Are you looking for a collaborative and positive team?
What you will do:

• Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of the City’s VOIP phone system.
• Fulfill service requests from end users and City departments for network and telecommunications services.
• Design and oversee the installation of network and telecommunications infrastructure in City facilities.
• Work with outside vendors and contractors to provide telecommunications products and services to the City.

• Knowledge and experience working with VOIP phone systems. Additional experience with Windows and Linux operating systems is a plus.
• Project management experience in overseeing telecommunications and/or information technology projects of all scales.
• Technical experience in troubleshooting network and telecommunications infrastructure and systems.
• Effective interpersonal skills.

• Playing a role in the design and operations of the City’s telecommunications infrastructure.
• Working with a wide variety of customers in providing unique solutions to their telecommunications needs.
• Working with a dynamic team of skilled Information Technology professionals.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education, Experience, and Training

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Industrial Technology, Engineering, or a related field;

• Two years of experience in either a computer related or communications systems field.
• Directly related technology and network systems certifications may be substituted for some of the education requirements.

• Must possess a valid Motor Vehicle Operator's license.
