Collins Community Credit Union is Hiring a Loan Processing Assistant Manager Near Cedar Rapids, IA

Collins Community Credit Union , a growing organization, is currently hiring for a Loan Processing Assistant Manager. This position will be onsite at our Headquarters in Cedar Rapids. This person will be a competitive, independent, "doer" who can problem solve and get things done through people. In this role, you will be responsible for coaching and managing the Real Estate, Consumer, and Commercial processors.
Qualified candidates should ideally have experience in 2 of the 3 lending lines (consumer, real estate, and commercial).
Essential Functions:
  • Demonstrate enthusiastic support of corporate mission, core values and long-term objectives. Performs duties within our bylaws, regulations, Board of Directors policies, established internal and external service standards and our work procedures.
  • Manage the Real Estate, Consumer, and Commercial processors which includes oversight of processors' loan file compliance, file quality, timely submission to underwriting, accurate funding, ensure consistency of data transfer from LOS to the core (DNA), and ensuring executed loan file documents are loaded to long term storage (Nautilus) to meet retention requirements.
  • Ability to process Real Estate, Consumer and Commercial loans, i.e. possess knowledge/experience to process loans in each business line.
  • Ability to guide staff as questions arise and identify issues that create risk.
  • Understand the Credit Union's loan policy and ATR (Ability to Repay) procedures.
  • Ability to create and utilize Credit Union training materials, reference tools and other resources to provide accurate and up-to-date loan program/policy information to internal and external members.
  • Manage Real Estate Processors training for software enhancements, vendor changes, and compliance changes.
  • Track and report Processors' pipelines.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one coaching sessions with Processors - specifically reviewing underwritten, published conditions and process improvements.
  • Manage processor's SLA initial review and timely handling of withdrawn and denied files.
  • Management review and monthly reconcilement of department general ledgers.
  • Identify and manage issues that are escalated to management.
  • Coach processors to handle employee loans per employee loan procedures.
  • Responsible for exceptional member service to every member, every time by ensuring employees deliver consistently high-quality service to both internal and external member that fulfills our Service Promises.
  • Must possess effective knowledge of the Credit Union's products, loan policies and services.
