Reporting to our Product Owner responsible for the analysis of the impact of the digital learning materials we create for the healthcare community Medscape Education (a division of WebMD) is looking to hire a Learning Design Specialist to provide subject matter expertise in designing digital education initiatives to align with the learning science principles in the US and internationally.. The role will play an important part in advising the Product Team in data-driven education design by staying up to date with the latest in impactful digital adult learning, evaluating our current learning products to identify areas of improvement, and influencing new product design by applying adult learning principles. Their goal is to maximize the impact our learning initiatives have on healthcare professionals given learning objectives. They will collaborate with our teams that seek grant funding to identify the products best suited to maximize the impact of the content. They will synthesize findings across several projects to make recommendations to the Impact & Insights Product Owner, the sales organization, and other internal stakeholders.
- Under the supervision of the Impact & Insights Product Owner, actively monitor the performance data of key products with a lens of learner engagement and demonstrable impact and identify opportunities for maximizing impact to be used in product ideation and development.
- Serve as an SME in digital learning design for our teams responsible for developing grants, engaging audiences to visit the content, and reporting on the performance to grantors.
- Conduct thorough analyses of the performance of learning strategies and tactics to generate actionable intelligence and clearly communicate and present findings to stakeholders
- Work with Data analysts to identify key user behavior data points that empower analysis of our products from the lens of adult learning principles.
- Develop sound understanding of Medscape Education’s product portfolio
- Tackle complex and ambiguous problems with an analytical, strategic, proactive, and entrepreneurial mindset
- Create recommendations and action plans for solving problems
- BA/BS degree
- 4 years relevant experience in adult, digital, voluntary learning for professional development in healthcare, public health, or health education or related field
- Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- High energy, disciplined self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and proven ability to influence others who are not in their immediate team
- Experience interpreting data to propel action
- Influential verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to internal stakeholders
- Highly organized and acts with a sense of urgency
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint
- Master’s degree in adult learning or online education design preferred
- Experience using data dashboards to identify patterns
- Experience working in a fast-paced, for-profit setting
