Department Summary

HSC Health is the academic clinical practice for the Health Science Center. Focused on improving health outcomes to build a healthier community. HSC Health primary and multispecialty care clinics are located on the HSC campus in Fort Worth. Out care teams extend to local hospitals, surgery centers, and mobile and in-home care. HSC Health's interprofessional teams work collaboratively to achieve an optimized treatment plan tailored to the individual patient. Physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, physical therapists, pharmacists, social workers, psychologists, specialized technicians, and nurses work together while intentionally integrating healthcare students, residents, and fellows to deliver care to our community.

Position Overview

The Manager of Clinic Operations will report to the Director of Clinical Operations and work in coordination with the Clinical Nurse Manager to administer and coordinate all clinical and business operations within HSCHealth Student Health and Priority Care clinics. The position requires in person work.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business administration, nursing, or other closely related field and five (5) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Communication and Language Skills: Ability to listen, understand, and assimilate a variety of information. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret contracts, regulations, and reports. Mathematical Ability: Ability to apply concepts and trend analysis to practical situations. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practice problems and to deal effectively with a variety of variables. Ability to interpret a variety on instructions, rules, and regulations furnished in written, oral, diagram, and schedule form. Other Skills and Abilities: Computer literate with the ability to use Microsoft Office; NexGen knowledge preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior healthcare experience including management of teams, marketing / communications related experience, and NextGen EMR preferred but not necessary.

Required License/Registration/Certifications

Job Duties:

* % - Responsible for hiring, discipline, conflictresolution, and evaluations for clinical staff and other associated human resources functions for all employees directly supervised. Clearly communicates with staff and leadership. - ()

* % - Assists providers and senior management in establishing and implementing, productivity and performance goals for all employees directly supervised, as requested or assigned. Sets the clinic tone and example for all operational processes. Responsible for the effective oversight of patient flow and management of all patient scheduling and tracking. - ()

* % - Actively lead and participate in both department and clinic redesign activities to ensure the highest standards of behavior and performance are met. Responsible for leading cliniclevel OKR, quality related projects and strategic planning for clinic in coordination with Medical Director and Clinical Nurse Manager. Ensures compliance with all HSC Health/HSC policies and procedures. Serves as the key problemsolving and conflict resource for patient, provider, and staff complaints for areas of concern. - ()

* % - Coordinate department and clinic communicationfocused activities, including monthly staff meetings, regular and frequent leadership meetings, including meetings with HSC Health Leadership. - ()

* % - Financial Reporting and Documenting: Maintain clinical budget and review financial indicators, billing, reimbursement, and coding, and coordination to ensure budget is adhered to and revenue is maximized. Assist with the HSC Health budget preparation; Manage clinic supplies and purchasing; Understands, develops, tracks, and recommends staffing models. - ()

* % - Leads front desk operations to include successful onboarding and training, implement strategies to improve call management, optimize schedule utilization, and identify barriers and implement solutions to improve workflows and inefficiencies. - ()

* % - Marketing and communications lead on student health/priority care related events and campus needs as well as planning and executing strategies or events. Responsible for operational management of UNT Dallas Student Health Clinic and provides support or guidance to other related programs or partnerships. Leads projects and programs in coordination with HSC Health Leadership teams. - ()

* % - Perform other duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the Department/Clinic. - ()

Monday & Thursday 7am-4pm, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday 8am-5pm
