A global leader in technology is looking for a Grinder Operator to oversee the setup and operation of grinding machines. The ideal candidate is an effective communicator with comprehensive knowledge and proficiency in various types of grinders. As a collaborative team member, the new operator will enhance operational efficiency by performing tasks effectively while adhering to the company's safety standards and detailed work specifications.

Location: Conroe, TX 77301
Type of Position: Temp-to-Hire
Schedule: Monday-Friday 4:00pm-12:30am

Responsibilities:

• Independently set-up, operate, and maintain a grinding machines according to detail blueprints, specifications, work orders, and instructions to meet or exceed production schedules.
• Maintain correct dimensions of parts while running the job using measuring instruments such as micrometers, comparators, calipers, and gauges, inspect completed parts to ensure they meet blueprints/specifications.
• Recognize improper machine functioning and make required adjustments.
• Verify dimensions of ground work piece for conformance to specifications.
• Able to recognize, identify, perform, and troubleshoot machine operations in manufacturing for improved quality and tooling life.
• Mount grinding wheel and regulating wheel on spindles with wrenches and dress wheels to specifications; change worn grinding wheels as needed.
• Move controls to set specified grinding speeds, feed rates, and spacing between wheel faces.
• Demonstrate technical knowledge and experience in reading, interpreting blueprints, and use shop and measuring tools.
• Rely on blueprints and job order for product specifications such as dimensions, tolerances, and number of parts to be ground.
• Adhere to all company Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, practices, and procedures.
• Required to identify and alert any known or suspected nonconformance for all company procedures.
