Fulcrum Technologies, Inc., is an industry leader in the design and manufacture of custom machine bases for vibration sensitive production tools used in the semiconductor fabrication process. We are seeking an energetic Buyer to join our procurement team.

This entry level Buyer position is responsible for procuring parts and supplies for the company finding the best pricing through negotiation and process improvements. This is a full-time, salaried position reporting to the Supply Chain Manager. This position has no supervisory duties.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain effective procurement cost savings strategies.
• Ensure all parts for pedestal production are ordered and arrive on time.
• Secure quotes and best pricing for products purchased through skillful negotiation.
• Establish, maintain and manage supplier relationships.
• Establish and report on supplier metrics.
• Use M1 ERP software to place orders
• Work with Quality and Engineering to assist suppliers with technical questions related to customer prints, customer specs, tolerances, manufacturing, etc
• Participate in all safety training and abide by FTI adopted practices.

Requirements

• 1 – 3 years of experience in purchasing for a manufacturing company
• Experience in Supply Chain management or related field
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of metal fabrication materials and processes (i.e., laser cutting, machining, etc.)
• Experience in purchasing metal in various forms.
• Ability to read engineering blueprints & bills of materials.
• Knowledge of ERP/MRP based software.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD
• High attention to detail, with ability to manage complex information.
• Good computer skills, especially MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Effective time management skills
• Wear required PPE when entering manufacturing shop floor environment.
• Follow all adopted FTI safety process and procedures.

Job Environment:

• Company has a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Personal Protection Equipment must be worn on the manufacturing floor, PPE provided.
