Job Title: Aircraft Painter I
Location: Savannah, GA
Schedule: Weekend Days
Pay Rate: $25.66 per hour

In this position, the employee will gain knowledge of and familiarity with the company aircraft, internal procedures for work completion and quality control, and how multiple shops must work together to meet production goals.

The Aircraft Painter I prepares the aircraft for paint-related operations by performing tasks safely within schedule while meeting quality expectations.

Essential Functions:

1. Mask, sand, and prepare aircraft for paint application

2. Apply glazing and sealing compounds in preparation for the final painting

3. Operate and maintain all types of preparation and priming equipment

4. Mix paints and primers

5. Perform leading-edge sealant work in final detail

6. Comply with all safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies

7. Use personal protective equipment, (PPE) and ensure aircraft interior is protected (PTP)

8. Comply with paint shop

Education and Requirements:

1. High School Diploma or GED

2. 1 year of painting experience

3. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

4. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation

5. Able to pass Pulmonary Function Test to obtain respirator certification and use required PPE

6. Ability to use tools, equipment, and materials in the aircraft painting process

7. Able to climb ladders and stairs, perform close tolerance work, and work in small/confined spaces

8. Able to lift up to 40 lbs on a regular basis

9. Possess computer literacy

10. Ability to work any shift as needed

Pay Details: $25.66 per hour
