Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Grant Compliance Auditor. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that our organization meets the requirements set forth by uniform guidance audits (OMB-133) and program-specific audits. Additionally, you will assist in financial statement audits, with a focus on accurately disclosing grant-related transactions.
Responsibilities:
· Manage and coordinate uniform guidance audits and program-specific audits, ensuring compliance with grant regulations.
· Work closely with internal teams to gather documentation and resolve any outstanding issues identified during audits.
· Communicate audit deadlines and requirements to relevant stakeholders.
· Utilize "inspector gadget" skills to retrieve lost data and facilitate audit processes.
· Create and maintain audit schedules, tracking progress and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
· Collaborate with external auditors to provide necessary information and support during audits.
· Stay updated on changes in grant regulations and accounting standards to ensure compliance.
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
· 3-5 years of experience in public auditing, preferably with nonprofit organizations.
· Strong understanding of grant regulations and compliance requirements.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
· Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
· Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
