Child Therapist in YWCA Domestic Violence Shelter
YWCA Evansville is seeking applicants for a full-time, child therapist to work primarily Monday through Friday to develop and implement a program for housing children that provides age-appropriate activities, counseling, advocacy, and support services and to provide educational services regarding violence to area schools and community groups. Position provides an abuse-free and safe environment, referral services, safety education, and case management for survivors of domestic violence and their children. Scheduled hours will flex to meet the clients' needs.
Candidate must embrace the YWCA mission of eliminating racism and empowering women and preferably possess a degree in social work or related field. Experience in a social service field and case management is required.
Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Master's degree in social work preferred; experience working with women and children in crisis; case management skills; willing to actively participate with children; and good communication skills. Ideal candidate will be a self-starter, team player, flexible, and possess a working knowledge of local agency resources. Ideal candidate will also exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills, good organizational skills, and the ability to facilitate a client class. This position will work with diverse populations and interact with clients and staff in a sensitive, non-judgmental open-minded manner.

Salary commensurate with experience.
Bachelor Salary Range: $39,520 to $45,760 depending on qualifications, education and experience.
