Role Overview:

As a Senior Controls & Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for leading controls efforts for the projects assigned to you. You will work closely with other Controls & Automation Engineers, Project Managers, and Process Engineers to advance projects from the design phases through commissioning. Our ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related associate degree and equivalent work experience in the food industry.

***This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule; you will have a balance between remote and in-office work. Our main office is located in New London, MN. Candidates must be willing to commute occasionally to our main office.

Responsibilities:

• Creating electrical schematic and panel enclosure drawings
• Selecting and creating purchase order requests for control hardware and field devices; Specifying and subcontracting control panels
• Integrating and programming PLC and HMI
• Checking control panels and participate in Controls commissioning and startup of Dahmes equipment
• Assisting and mentoring other team members as needed

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of Allen Bradley ControlLogix & Rockwell Software FactoryTalk View Platforms
• Basic CAD skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to climb stairs, work on ladders/lifts, work with various tools and instruments
• Up to 25% travel is required (roughly 25% travel schedule)
