Job Title: QA Laboratory Technician
Scope: Report to Technical Service Manager
Responsibilities:
· Perform routine laboratory tests on raw materials, intermediates and finished product in accordance with currently approved procedures.
· Approve lots for shipment in the ERP software.
· Prepare quality assurance computer sheets on the material produced, and log them in.
· Provide evaluation support on competitor samples as time allows.
· Maintain laboratory area in a safe and orderly manner.
· Maintain adequate inventories of laboratory supplies and equipment. Order laboratory materials for the control room.
· Perform weekly checks on all lab instruments.
· Calibrate or coordinate calibration of R&D equipment as assigned by Technical Service Manager.
· Approve raw material suppliers.
· Maintain ISO quality system requirements.
· Maintain understanding of the quality policy and access to QMS documents.
· Maintain finish lot samples for quality system retain program.
· Provide QC and R&D testing support as required.
· Train plant personnel on skills required to perform quality testing.
· Use software such as Excel and WORD to perform job duties.
Educational Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in technology or engineering field desired, but not required.
Experience Required:
5 years experience in a laboratory setting.
Experience working in quality assurance is a plus.
