Job Description:
Field Automation Technicians needed to support our U.S. and international customers in a wide range of environments including: meat processing facilities, nuclear power plants, ice production facilities, and seafood ports. Relocation is not required.
Key Responsibilities:
• Simulate, test, and debug control systems on and off site
• Assist with installation of new equipment
• Repair equipment to Morris standard in field conditions
• Assemble accurate reports after job completion and on equipment operation
• Train customers and operators on Morris equipment
• Coordinate with project electricians, as well as, conduct pre-installation kick-off meetings.
• Trouble shooting via phone/on site, start-up/commissioning
Qualifications:
• Proficient in Rockwell Automation software (RSLogix 5000, Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View ME and RSLinx)
• Familiarity with Mitsubishi HMI and PLC hardware and software
• Experience with multiphase electrical circuits
• Clean driving record and valid driver’s license
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers and maintain bearing during stressful events
• Interpret electrical schematics
• Must be able to work without direct supervision
• Must past drug screen and background check
• Experience with programing VFD’s (Variable Frequency Drives), Allen-Bradley & Mitsubishi.
Physical Requirements:
• Lifting up to 25 lbs. multiple times a day
• Ability to work on your feet up to 10 hours, exceeding 10 hours on occasion
• Ability to drive up to 10 hours a day
