Overview of the Construction Accountant role:

• Job cost accounting including budget controls, accounting for all project costs, change orders, job costs transfers and variance explanations
• Accounts Payable and vendor maintenance to include full cycle A/P processing, 1099s, insurance verification, lien waivers, etc
• Process subcontractor payment applications and project billings
• Manage draw requests and appropriate back up documentation
• Assist with revenue and profitability projections
• Ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned

Preferred Qualifications for the Construction Accountant:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field, will consider experience in lieu of degree
• 3 years related experience
• Strong attention to detail
• Independent worker, able to problem solve and work with minimal supervision
