KANSAS FARM MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION, SOUTHEAST is Hiring an Office Professional Near Ottawa, KS

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong customer service abilities, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Accounting experience is strongly preferred. As an Office Professional, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office and providing exceptional administrative support. This position has nearly full-time hours in some seasons, and part-time hours in others. From August through March workload is typically 25-35 hours per week. From April through July workload can vary from 10-25 hours per week. The flexible summer schedule is valued by employees - work schedules can be fluid as long as the mandatory tasks for clients are being completed timely and accurately.

Responsibilities:
- QuickBooks and FarmBooks data entry
- Manual book totaling with in-house software
- Data management - backing up, importing, exporting
- Payroll filings and management
- Answer phone calls and help clients, direct them to the appropriate individuals when necessary; return and make calls as requested
- Provide excellent phone etiquette and customer service to clients
- Perform general office duties such as filing, scanning, and organizing documents
- W2, 1099 data entry, assembly and mailing
- Prepare appointment letters and help manage schedules
- Transcribe documents accurately and efficiently - attention to detail is critical
- Manage mail - both incoming and outgoing
- Clean general office area, bathroom and take out trash
- Other duties as deemed necessary or as required

Experience:
- Previous experience in an office or administrative role is preferred
- Background in accounting is preferred
- QuickBooks experience is preferred
- Payroll experience is preferred
- Proficiency in using phone systems and other office equipment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong and professional written and verbal communication skills

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
