Role Description

This is a contract Dance Teacher role at Arts Edge Dance Company located in South Yarmouth, MA. As a Dance Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and leading dance classes for students of all ages and skill levels. You will create and implement lesson plans, teach proper technique and dance terminology, and choreograph dance routines for performances. This is an on-site role.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in various dance styles such as ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, hip-hop, etc.
• Strong knowledge of dance technique and terminology
• Experience in choreographing dance routines
• Ability to create and implement lesson plans
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience and the ability to work with students of all ages and skill levels
• A passion for dance and a desire to inspire and motivate students
• Degree in Dance or a related field is preferred
• Teaching experience is a plus
