    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: The District Wide Food Manager will oversee all aspects of the school cafeterias and provide support to Cafeteria Managers and staff in Region 14 Schools. Candidate must be knowledgeable in National School Lunch Program, safety and sanitation, and possess strong communication skills.
    • Review orders for food & supplies prior to releasing to Ed Advance
    • Maintains inventory for 2 different schools
    • Review production records for all schools
    • Preparation of Breakfast at 2 different schools (different start times) and oversees lunch waves at both schools
    • Responsible for catering and events beyond the school program
    • Assist in general kitchen duties when and where needed
    • Establish and maintain a good working relationship with other employees
    • Maintain positive attitude when working with all Region 14 staff students and parents
    • Regular and consistent attendance is considered an essential function of this position
    • Review monthly meal reports and file claims
    EDUCATION/TRAINING/REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma, ServSafe certification, qualified food operators’ certificate or ability to become certified. The individual should not have less than five years’ experience in school food service, or closely related field, with experience or training in institutional cooking. The individual should have good computer skills and supervisory experience.
    WORK YEAR: Based on 7 hours per day for 210 days
    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to stand at an assigned location and work continuously for extended periods of time. Must be able to carry, move and put away food and supplies weighing up to forty (40) lbs. and ranging in height from 1” to 48” from the floor. Must have the stamina necessary for efficient performance of duties. Must be physically able to tolerate temperatures ranging from –10 degrees F to 40 degrees F for periods of time up to one half hour to work in the freezer.
    SALARY: $40,000-$42,000
