Based in Louisville, Kentucky, Trilogy Health Services is looking for an IT Field Engineer for its Home Office team. 

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

The IT Field Engineer provides senior-level technical support for all components of computers serving both field/remote and Home Office employees at all locations. The successful candidate helps with troubleshooting networking and telecommunications equipment at campuses and is responsible for primary IT support, including assessing trouble tickets assigned and advanced troubleshooting processes. This role serves as a leader to other IT team members and represents IT management in the field. Other key responsibilities include:

  • Provides advanced application support, training and problem resolution for all corporate software applications including MatrixCare, CareTracker, Casamba and Miradore.
  • Provides support for clinical equipment in the field, including configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance for Welch Allyn vital sign machines and iStat devices.
  • Manages IT projects that impact clinical systems and processes.
  • Acts as liaison between the software vendors and end-user to update systems and resolve conflicts.
  • Represents IT management during campus visits to address any open IT issues or areas of concern.
  • Leads the asset management process in the field for all software and hardware.
  • Facilitates the maintenance and updates to corporate operating systems, kiosks and other computer devices as necessary companywide.
  • Provides Tier 1 and 2 end-user consulting, troubleshooting and problem solving support for all computer hardware/software supported products, as well as network-related technologies.
  • Manages ticketing system to ensure closure to open tickets, generate new requests and route to appropriate team members.
  • Engages vendor relationships such as telecom carriers, local cable vendors, etc. to provide services to facilities.
  • Manages IT customer service objectives by follow through of customer service processes and procedures.
  • Interacts with end-users and IT team members in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Conducts follow-up on open calls and/or assists coworkers in their follow-up.
  • Able to take directions and follow instructions by IT leadership.
  • Travel (50%) including overnight stay as necessary.
  • Ability to expense all costs incurred for lodging, car rentals, and food, as required for corporate travel which will be reimbursed via company reimbursement program in a timely manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field from a four-year college or university or the equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • A certification required. 
  • Certifications such as Microsoft MCTS and MCITP preferred.
  • Valid drivers’ license required.
  • Three-to-five years’ experience in a technical support role, vocational training and/or related IT work experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software suite required.
  • Advanced hardware and software support techniques with a thorough understanding of desktop and laptop configurations.

Physical requirements

Sitting, standing, bending, reaching, stretching, stooping, walking, and moving intermittently during working hours. Must be able to lift at least 50lbs. Must be able to maintain verbal and written communication with co-workers, supervisors, residents, family members, visitors, vendors, and all business associates outside of the health campus.
