the prevention, care and treatment of injuries to student athletes.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvides athletic trainer support to all CWC athletic teams.Provide needed pre-event and pre-practice preperations for all teams (taping, wrapping, padding, etc).Recognize, evaluate, treat and document all athletic injuries.Provide rehabilitation of athletic injuires when appropriate.Promote strategies for athletic injury prevention.Supervise the athletic training room.Organize and maintain medical records of student athletes.Assist area agencies, including EMTs, law enforcement, fire department, etc., in responding to events emergencies.Monitors Athletic Trainer program budget expendictures.Represent the college in a positive manner with prospective, current and former students, employees, officials, and the community.Operate within the framework established by CWCs policies, procedures, and practices.Attends assigned college, department, and division meetings that are included in the defined area of responsiblities.Perform other reasonably related duties as directed or assigned.Position SpecificationsMinimum QualificationsEducationBachelors degree in a directly related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning recognized by the US Department of Education.Experience3 years of directly related experience, preferably in a higher education setting.Licenses/CertificationsAthletic Trainer CertificationCPR and First Aid Certification or ability to gain certificationPossess a valid Wyoming drivers license and be insurable by the colleges insurance carrier.Equivalency StatementEquivalent combinations of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired may be considered on a case-by-case basis.Desired QualificationsMasters degree in related fieldPrior intercollegiate experience as an athletic trainerKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESExtensive knowledge of athletic trainingStrong personal work ethic and high degree of personal integrityEffective interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to relate to and work with a diverse student population, faculty, administrators, and community membersAbility to maintain confidentiality and to effectively identify and resolve problemsAbility to promote a positive atmosphere of teamwork and cooperation both within the College and the communityAbility to organize, prioritize and follow multiple projects and tasks through to completionAbility to maintain athletic training equipment and work spaceAbility to work independently with frequent interruptionsProficient in the use of word processing, database, and presentation applications, specifically Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Datatel.Demonstrated ability to be accountable for decision making and for being dependable and reliable.Knowledge of and ability to follow CWC policies, procedures and practices.Level objects weighing up to 50 pounds frequentlyEnvironmental ConditionsWork is performed in an athletic training room, gymnasium, office setting and various sports facilities under limited supervision.Work requires evening and weekend hours.Work is performed both indoors and outdoorsRequires post-offer pre-employment background screeningRequired Skills Required ExperienceQualifications:QUALIFICATIONS/TRAITS:EDUCATION:A bachelors degree with an emphasis on psychology, sociology, anthropology, advertising, or related field or strong relevant experience.PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEA minimum of 3 years of brand planning or related experience at an advertising agency or on the client side.Proven ability to work with creative teams.Proven ability to execute quantitative and qualitative research projects.Experience working with Simmons/MRI and syndicated research partners.Ability to coach junior planners on projects.Ability to develop a positive and collaborative relationship with clients.Ability to proactively drive work forward while collaborating with key partners throughout.Strong writing, reasoning and presenting
