Brief Summary of Position:

This position will assist in the development of a comprehensive loan training program and assist in training new loan personnel. Provide ongoing loan training to current loan personnel.

Thoroughly underwrite loan applications for decisioning that upholds COPFCU underwriting guidelines with considerable loan authority, as well as serves as an advisor to applicant's loan needs.

Act as an advisor and financial coach for applicants and members to ensure heightened understanding of their current and future financial picture. Assist member in completing loan applications from all delivery channels, in branch, over the phone and digital.

Cross sell lending and all other credit union products and services based on member needs. Notify applicant of loan decision. Correspond with members, applicants, and creditors to resolve questions regarding application information and ongoing support

Assist department managers with ongoing employee coaching and development as it relates to consumer loan underwriting, referrals, and process.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree, preferred.

A minimum of five (5) years' experience in loan processing

A minimum of five (5) years' experience in consumer loan underwriting with complex loan scenarios and in-depth knowledge of risk management in loan underwriting.

Proficient in Microsoft programs

Previous bank/credit union experience required
