We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Fellowship Coordinator to join our reputable nephrology practice KidneyCare Oklahoma. As the Fellowship Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting the training and development of our three fellows. Your primary responsibilities will include coordinating the day-to-day activities of the fellowship program, ensuring compliance with accreditation requirements, and fostering a supportive and enriching learning environment for the fellows.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the fellowship program, liaising with fellows, faculty members, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Coordinate and schedule academic and clinical activities, including rotations, conferences, seminars, and workshops, ensuring smooth transitions and efficient use of resources.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive fellowship calendar, ensuring timely communication of important dates and deadlines to fellows and faculty members.
  • Collaborate with the fellowship program director to ensure compliance with accreditation standards and guidelines set forth by the relevant governing bodies.
  • Assist with the recruitment and selection process for new fellows, including organizing interviews, reviewing applications, and coordinating onboarding procedures.
  • Support the evaluation process by collecting and maintaining accurate records of fellow performance evaluations, ensuring adherence to program requirements.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among fellows, faculty members, and other healthcare professionals to foster a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Coordinate and oversee the logistics of fellowship events, such as graduation ceremonies, research symposiums, and quality improvement projects.
  • Maintain and update the fellowship program's database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of fellow demographics, rotations, and educational activities.
  • Stay informed about advancements in nephrology and medical education, and actively participate in professional development activities to enhance your knowledge and skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in coordinating or managing fellowship or residency programs is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with fellows, faculty members, and other stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software applications and databases for scheduling and record-keeping.
  • Knowledge of accreditation standards and guidelines for fellowship programs (ACGME, RCPSC, etc.) is an advantage.
  • Understanding of nephrology and the unique challenges and opportunities in the field.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
