ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

General description of main/primary duties and responsibilities of the job, aptitude, level of complexity, span of control, autonomy, decision making and judgement. It is central and necessary to the satisfactory performance of the job. Includes the following and other duties as assigned.

Under limited guidance this position will:

  • Confirm and schedule nominations in compliance with procedures, contract provisions, and relevant pipeline deadlines.
  • Enter all pertinent nomination data in to the nomination systems. Track the movement of all physical gas sales and maintain data showing the contractual movements of gas.
  • Maintain knowledge of volume obligations contained in customer contracts and ensure nominations are within contract limits.
  • Work with Operations and Gas Marketing team to ensure that imbalances are minimized by communicating in a timely manner when problems arise.
  • Ensure that all gas purchases have an applicable delivery point and all gas sold has an applicable supply point.
  • Monitor and communicate pipeline information, posting timely to the Traders and the team.
  • Review the efficiency of the nomination and accounting activities to ensure functions are running in an optimal manner.
  • Review, verify, reconcile, and resolve gas supply and transportation invoices to ensure accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and answer questions pertaining to gas scheduling.
  • Evaluate contract compliance and accuracy through review of transportation and gathering invoices.
  • Maintain and actualize internal trading systems including but not limited to transportation, markets, production, pipelines, and rates.
  • Communicate between suppliers and customers to ensure that contractual nomination data is coordinated through the delivery chain.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Experience, Licensure (minimum level required)

  • A credit check is required for this position.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Marketing, Engineering, Business, or related field of study from an accredited institution.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in the Oil & Gas or Natural Gas industry, or related experience; OR
    1. At least four (4) years of experience in the Oil & Gas or Natural Gas industry, or related experience.

  • Basic understanding of the movement of natural gas.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with good attention to detail.
  • Reasoning ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to apply routine mathematical concepts to work related operations.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced, demanding, and constantly changing environment.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple assignments with competing deadlines.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Functions as an individual contributor with no supervisory responsibilities.

Office Related:

  • Job is primarily performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires regular use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system.

HOURS / SHIFTS

  • Regular business hours.
  • Flexible to work on weekends and holidays, available for urgent issues or emergencies during off hours, as needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Minimally lift, push, carry and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • Minimally be able to bend, stoop, crouch, etc.

TRAVEL

Approximate amount of time.

  • Minimal travel may be required to other locations.
  • Approximate overnight travel is 15%.
