The Woburn taproom is our mothership, as we proudly brew on a 40-barrel system, alongside a 10-barrel brewhouse for limited releases and taproom exclusive beers. About the Floor Manager Role

The Floor Manager here at Lord Hobo Brewing will be responsible for creating a world-class experience for our guests through over the top hospitality. They will ensure guest satisfaction by holding the staff to Lord Hobo’s high standards, and interacting with as many guests as possible. The Floor Manager must be an excellent example for taproom staff by providing training/coaching, perfect service, and leading by example. The taproom environment is fast paced and high volume, so attention, organization, and efficiency are needed at all times to keep staff engaged and guests smiling. The Manager will also work closely with the Chef and kitchen staff to ensure amazing food quality, timely service, and adherence to back of house rules. This role will require dedication to details, and consistent delivery of exceptional service & products to our guests.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure guest satisfaction by upholding Lord Hobo’s employee expectations of hospitality and customer service
  • Advocate for the guests by touching tables, problem solving before escalation
  • Serve as de facto leadership in the absence of GM & AGM
  • Consistent mastery of all functions of taproom operations
  • Effectively oversee staff with direction and constructive criticism
  • Assist with proper and consistent training of new team members
  • Maintain expert knowledge of the full lineup of current beers and company history
  • Accurately & consistently field questions about the brewery, our beers & our philosophy while staying within the brand guidelines
  • Assist with inventory, scheduling, and other administrative jobs as needed
  • Multitask within a fast-paced environment while providing a high level of professionalism and hospitality
  • Anticipate guest’s needs and proactively upsell including merchandise and beer to-go
  • Operate & troubleshoot draft equipment
  • Alwaysensure taproom cleanliness, organization, and repair. Make suggestions for improvements or CAPEX expenditures to optimize & improve revenue
  • Awareness of appropriate and approved lighting, music, and general ambiance of the taproom
  • Execution of proper opening & closing checklists
  • Advanced knowledge and operation of POS, reservation systems
  • Execution or appropriate delegation of cash management and EON reporting including deposit of cash tips and owed to house.

Taproom Floor Manager Qualifications & Preferred Experience

  • Outgoing and high energy; enjoys high volume with public interaction; positive attitude and strong verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to succeed as Bar Lead
  • Exceptional leadership skills and desire to develop within Lord Hobo
  • Passion for the craft beer industry
  • Knowledge of brewing process, packaging, and draft systems
  • Outgoing and high energy; enjoys high volume with public interaction; positive attitude and strong verbal communication skills
  • Tendency to clean excessively and always remain organized
  • Ability to understand and collaborate effectively with guest’s specific needs
  • Ability to de escalate potential issues with guests, and resolve conflict
  • Passionate and aware of trends within the food and beverage industry
  • TIPS Certified required
  • Beer Server Certified (preferred)
  • Allergy Awareness (preferred)
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including holidays, evenings and weekends
  • Ability to lift 50-100lbs
  • Must be able to stand, walk, lift and bend for long periods of time (8hrs)
  • Must have reliable transportation

Compensation
