The Highline Public Schools Human Resources Department is seeking an HR Technician to join our Workforce Planning Team.
As a part of its commitment to innovate and increase operational efficiency, all staff members of Human Resources are expected to: deliver impeccable customer service; ensure speedy and accurate turnaround of all human resources transactions; and work as a cross-trained, flexible and cohesive team. The Human Resources Technician is a crucial member of the Human Resources team, working closely with department leadership on the development of new and revised policies and procedures for the overall function of the department and services to staff. They are expected to exercise independent judgment and may be consulted to interpret Board policy or state or federal guidelines related to their area of work. They will manage key staff support and provide metrics as it relates to accuracy, efficiency, and customer service. This is a dynamic opportunity to have a lasting impact on the way Highline Public Schools serves its staff, students and community.
Portfolio: Workforce Planning - Career Growth & Collaboration The HR Technician assigned to this portfolio provides customer service and technical assistance around opportunities for career growth and support programs, for classified and certificated staff. Key stakeholders include prospective, newly hired and current staff. This portfolio includes direct support and data monitoring of the Peer Mentor Program, affinity group intiaitive, professional growth programs; and other programs supporting culturally affirming work environments for staff. The key responsibility of this role is to support opportunities for development and career advancement at all levels of the organization aligned to district mission and vision. An ideal candidate understand the transformative power of data, has the skills to elevate data to actionable next steps, and thinks systemically to solve for root cause problems for all stakeholders.
