We have and exciting opportunity for an Employee Relations Assistant to join our growing team. This position is responsible for supporting the Employee Relations Manager in the day-to-day administration of the Employee Relations Department within the Human Resources Department at Kura Sushi USA. The duties include, maintaining human resources related records, ensuring Company policies and regulations are administered, assisting with investigations, and administration/coordination of human resources - related programs.

This role is a hybrid role. The selected candidate must be able to come to the office in Irvine, CA on in office days and as needed to carry out necessary functions of the role.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Respondto all employee issues concerns at the restaurant level in a timely manner.
  • Completesall assigned tasks in a timely manner.
  • Consistentfollow-up with all employee issues and concerns as assigned.
  • Completesall filings in timely manner.\
  • Updatesthe case management system, Navex – Ethics Point and HR Acuity regularly.
  • Maintainsemployee corrective action forms and files on the Company Share Drive.
  • Preparestermination packets, including termination letters and collecting final wagecalculations from the Payroll Dept.
  • Administersterminations of employment as needed.
  • Assists employees with a variety of HR related matters and concerns.
  • Assists Employee Relations Manager or Senior HR leadership with investigations and employee complaints.
  • Must be able to identify violations of Company policies, procedures, and guidelines swiftly and accurately.
  • Must schedule and conduct investigation meetings and interviews with current employees as requested.
  • Assists Employee Relations Manager or Senior HR leadership by collecting information to support investigations.
  • Maintains data entries in multiple excel spread sheets.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate Company policies, procedures, and guidelines to a variety of restaurant employees.
  • Advises and trains employees in best employee relations practices and strategies for managing employee grievances and conflicts.
  • Supports administrations of Company compliance training programs.
  • EnsuresRestaurant Managers receive timely notices of HR postings and HR correspondence.
  • Supports the Operations Department with multiple HR related projects.
  • Supports other departments within Human Resourceswhen needed.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Requires knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of products and ability to learn multiple data entry platforms, including: ADP, Navex, and HR Acuity.
  • Requires the ability to effectively communicate both written and orally.
  • Requires knowledge of spelling grammar, punctuation, sentence/paragraph structure, and formatting.
  • Requires 2 to 4 years of clerical or administrative experience.
  • College experience, Bachelor's or Associate's degree, is preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Availability to work on weekends and off hours to support the business is desired.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, verbal and written is required. 

PAY RANGE: $22.00 - $26.00/hr. DOE.
