Our client, a forward-thinking logistics company dedicated to achieving remarkable growth and success, is hiring a COO with strong operations and logistics experience. They emphasize operational excellence and innovative strategies. Reporting directly to the President and the board, this role will be pivotal in directing the company's strategic path and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with a strong history of building, nurturing, and expanding operations. They will manage all operational functions, including but not limited to supply chain management, logistics, financial operations, internal processes, and cross-departmental effectiveness.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Craft and implement operational strategies aligning with the company's overarching goals, promoting growth and expansion while ensuring operational excellence.
  • Develop and refine processes and systems to guarantee smooth operations across product development, logistics, customer service, marketing, HR, finance, and supply chain management.
  • Assemble and lead a top-performing operational team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability. Offer guidance and support to align with company objectives and values.
  • Oversee financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management. Enhance profitability and efficiency while maintaining financial integrity.
  • Work with key stakeholders to propel expansion initiatives and strategic partnerships. Utilize expertise in growth and retention to maximize market opportunities.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and regulations, driving innovation and compliance within operations. Ensure adherence to best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote effective communication and collaboration across departments, ensuring alignment and synergy in achieving company goals. Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders.
  • Cultivate a continuous improvement culture, challenge existing strategies, and drive innovation in processes and systems. Identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency improvements.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Proven experience as a COO or senior operational leadership role, preferably within the logistics or supply chain industry.
  • Has demonstrated success in scaling operations and driving growth in revenue and profitability.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience managing P&L and financial operations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
  • Expertise in process optimization, innovation, and compliance.
  • Visionary leader with a passion for operational excellence.
  • Resourceful and innovative thinker with the ability to navigate complex challenges
  • Results-oriented with a focus on driving measurable impact and outcomes.
  • High integrity, with a commitment to ethical business practices.
  • An MBA is preferred for a bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, or a related field.
