Description:

As a design consultant, you will be responsible for making the appropriate recommendations to our guests based on their needs, interests, price range and other relevant factors. 

In this position, you will be responsible for outreach and growth of existing collectors, generating potential new clients, (individuals, interior designers and architects), along with providing continuous follow-up and complete client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Presentations and sales of artworks and furnishings on the floor directly to our guests, in their home, at our hospitality partners, over the phone and via email.

• Outside sales in the field at client locations and outreach over the phone and via mail & email and in our collectors' homes.
• Contacting existing and potential new clients, (Interior Design Offices, Landscape Design Office, Architects, Select Individuals, Art Consultants, etc.) to present all of our offerings
• A passion for and knowledge of fine art, sculpture, antiques, objets d'art and design, and ability to make the appropriate recommendations to our clients based on their needs, project requirements, budget and other relevant factors
• Liaising with artists to manage large scale commissions
• Organizing and directing installation of client's acquisitions
• Follow up with clients after sales to answer questions and/or resolve any issues
• Other responsibilities as assigned by Gallery Director
• Basic computer skills required
• Self-motivated, resourceful, able to adapt to new environments and sales focused

Requirements:

· Excellent people skills. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills

· Knowledge of Microsoft office suite a must, Salesforce.com, Photoshop, InDesign, and/or Publisher, a plus.

· It is imperative that you have the initiative and confidence to consistently close sales.

• Be capable of developing a clientele, nurturing those relationships and tracking your results in Salesforce.com.
• Ability to work weekends and evenings
• Ability to prioritize and get things done in a rapidly changing environment.
• Must be able to balance the aesthetic/business/marketing/management demands of a fast-paced organization
• Must have a professional appearance and demeanor and be a team player
• Must possess a valid driver’s license

Education / Experience Requirements:

• B.A./B.S. degree preferred, but not required
• Minimum two years art, luxury retail, interior design showroom or high-end sales experience required.

Physical Requirements:

· Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and remain on your feet for long periods of time.
