Job Summary

The Materials PlanningManager reports to the Director of Planning and is responsible for effectively planning and scheduling our raw material and component goods needs. Analyzing daily, MRP data to release work orders and purchase orders. As well as helping to maintain the data integrity that the MRP system uses. The individual filling this role will work closely with company leadership and all departments to assure material will be available to meet the customers’ demands. Advise on data integrity problems and recommend improvements to the system.

Specific Duties

• Create production work orders.
• Create purchase orders.
• Source, negotiate and select vendors that meet the company’s quality, price, and delivery requirements.
• Maintain communications with suppliers to ensure on time deliveries.
• Work with team members on training and implementing recommended solutions.
• Present all findings to Director of Planning and other stakeholders as needed.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

• Subject matter expert for ERP/ MRP systems, with thorough comprehension of the use and purpose of MRP.
• Possess strong quantitative and analytical skills.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
• Be able to provide coaching and training to others.
• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to clearly present results to a group and invoke action.
• Possess strong supervisory skills.

Qualifications

• 10 plus years of experience using MRP system software.
• Previous production inventory planning and purchasing experience.
• Job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks.
• Integrity. Job requires being honest and ethical.
• Experience in data entry.
• Must be able to communication effectively with a wide array of management and professional levels and functions.
• Comfortable with computer programs MRP, Outlook, Excel, Etc., needed to complete the role.
• Ability to take initiative to ask questions and delve into why issues are happening.

Salary Range: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 Annually
