A day in the life...
As a Catering Coordinator, you are the mission control of the event department. You assist the Catering and Banquet team with special event bookings, pre-event details, act as on-site contact, and handle post-event administrative tasks. Your detailed, organized, caring personality will make all the difference!
To be successful in the Catering Coordinator position, you...

• support the Catering Sales and service managers with any needs such as contract generation, lead support, banquet event order preparation, signage, resumes, proposals and any other assets needed to support the catering operation.
• engage with clients through phone calls, email, text and special requests.
• obtain final details, dates, times, and hotel room and meeting room requirements.
• follow up to ensure arrangements are completed.
• coordinate outside vendor services needs where appropriate to enhance guest events.

This position may also perform other duties as assigned (guest room tours, property tours, special guest requests, maintaining calendars, answering phones and routing to appropriate sales staff, handling of mail, faxes,

Requirements

• High School Diploma plus 2 years experience in a sales/catering office or related field.
• College Degree and prior sales experience and wedding planning experience is preferred.
• Type at least 50 wpm; proficient Microsoft office skills.
• Delphi and/or property management software system knowledge or aptitude for computer software necessary. Able to work nights and weekends and holidays if necessary.
