The Accountant provides financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data; preparing reports. Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information. Documents financial transactions by entering account information General Responsibilities • Verify, allocate, post and reconcile financial information • Analyze current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports. •Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options. • Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending • Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures • Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process • Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule • Support month-end and year-end close process • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls • Liaise with management to improve financial procedures •Complies with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions. •Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
