We have an excellent opportunity for a Plant Attendant in Troutville, VA. The primary function of this position is to perform a variety of duties including: physical labor, operating heavy equipment and mechanical repair work. Required Skills:

• Promote a “Safety First” mentality.
• Operate heavy industrial equipment as required.
• Performing general labor in many variations.
• Meet daily production schedule, document system performance as well as identify and troubleshoot problem areas and/or breakdowns of equipment.
• Provide feedback on process and safety improvements.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks as directed by the Preventative Maintenance Program, Maintenance Coordinator and plant management.

Required Experience:

• Maintain ongoing communication with the Production Supervisor and other operators.
• High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree in related field preferred.
• 2 years of experience in operating industrial equipment required.
• Electricians’ Card preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret and comprehend technical manuals and information.
• Proven attention to detail.
• Skill to troubleshoot equipment with strong mechanical ability.
• Ability to work rotating shifts; inclusive of weekends and holidays as required.
• Physical job requirements include working outdoors with exposure to heat and cold, constant standing and walking, climbing, working from heights as well as lifting up to 100 pounds.
