Nextant LLC is Hiring an Usability Researcher Near Bellevue, WA

Nextant is looking for a driven Usability Researcher to join our client team.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct quantitative user research studies and integrate these insights with existing qualitative research to identify user needs, preferences, and pain points.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and engineers, to define research objectives and incorporate insights into the product development process.
  • Utilize analytic tools and techniques to analyze very large data sets, derive meaningful insights, and uncover patterns and trends related to user behavior.
  • Develop and implement research methodologies, including surveys, interviews, usability testing, and user voice analysis, to gather relevant data.
  • Identify key metrics and establish a UX measurement framework to measure the effectiveness of UX improvements and track user engagement.
  • Work closely with data scientists and data analysts to develop data collection and analysis strategies, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Develop an understanding of technical and non-technical users of Microsoft Security products to ensure we are designing solutions that meet their expectations.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in UX research and Statistical analysis and data modeling of large sets.
  • Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field. A Ph.D. is a plus.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Experience in enterprise security software.
  • Proven experience as a UX researcher, conducting user research studies and providing actionable insights to inform product design decisions.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis techniques and data modeling to uncover patterns and trends in large data sets.
  • 5 years of experience in Python, R, SQL, or similar tools for data analysis.
  • Strong expertise in data analysis, including data extraction, cleansing, manipulation, and visualization.
  • Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously, while adhering to deadlines.
  • Working in B2B environment.

Pay Rate:

The annual salary range for this position is $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 in Washington State. Please note that the salary range is a general guideline. Nextant considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills, and other market and business considerations when extending an offer. 

Please note: Candidate must be in Washington, Texas, or Florida.
