Pay - Starts at $15.50/hr.
First increase eligible within 30 days based on quality of work.
Job Responsibilities
- Safely pack, load, and unload household or office items, ensuring items are not damaged during relocation.- Disassemble and reassemble furniture and equipment as required for safe transport.- Use moving equipment such as dollies, straps, and padding to move large or heavy items.- Protect and secure all items in the moving vehicle to prevent damage during transit.- Navigate routes efficiently to meet scheduled appointments and minimize transport time.- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the moving truck and equipment.- Complete inventory checks and document the condition of items before and after the move.- Communicate effectively with clients, providing excellent customer service and addressing any concerns promptly.- Work collaboratively with the moving team to ensure a smooth and efficient move process.- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to prevent injury and property damage.- Adhere to all company policies and legal transport regulations.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent- Valid driver's license and good driving record- Must have reliable transportation. Company located in Monmouth County, but meeting at job sites throughout the state may be required.- Ability to lift heavy items (75 lbs or more) repeatedly while climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, walking, etc.- Excellent stamina and physical condition- Knowledge of packing and loading techniques for safe and efficient transport- Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions from supervisors and team leads- Good communication and customer service skills- Flexibility to work during weekends, holidays, and outside regular business hours as required- Attention to detail for safely handling customers' belongings- Commitment to adhere to safety guidelines and regulations at all times- Willingness to undergo background checks- Must speak fluent English. Bilingual a plus.
