We are seeking a meticulous and skilled Forklift Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and painting forklifts, ensuring a high-quality finish, and performing pre-delivery inspections on new forklifts.
General Duties and Responsibilities
· Prepare forklifts for painting by cleaning them thoroughly.
· Follow all instructions and tasks assigned by the supervising manager.
· Complete paint preparation for forklifts, which includes:
· Fill dents with Bondo and ice.
· Grinding welds and smoothing high spots.
· DA individual parts and removing sharp edges.
· Taping and masking.
· Operate and maintain paint equipment.
· Keep the work area clean and organized.
· Conduct pre-delivery inspections on new forklifts.
· Touch up imperfections on new machines.
Specific Performance Requirements
· Paint multiple colors on a single panel.
· Complete paint jobs efficiently and on time.
· Maintain a neat and organized workspace.
· Keep an inventory of supplies and restock as needed.
· Perform small repairs and adjustments using basic mechanical skills.
Education and Qualifications
· High school diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification from a certified institution.
· Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to meet quality and productivity standards.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
